Planning a destination wedding or opting for a private, efficient legal ceremony? Look no further! I am a legal wedding officiant based in Ottawa, Ontario, and I'm here to make the paperwork process smooth and stress-free. I can legally perform ceremonies in Ontario and Quebec.
'Just the Paperwork' Package:
Whether you're planning a destination wedding or simply seeking a private setting to sign legal documents, I offer a convenient solution. As a certified legal wedding officiant, I welcome you to my home in Ottawa, or we can meet at a location of your choice, including your own home. All you need are a marriage license, a chosen date, and two witnesses. If needed, I can even arrange witnesses for you.
What's Included:
- Quick and efficient signing of legal documents
- A simple verbal ceremony, meeting the legal requirements of the Marriage Act of Ontario
- Flexibility to choose the location: my home, your preferred venue, or your own residence
- Option for witness arrangement at an additional fee
Understanding the Legal Ceremony:
Under the Marriage Act, a simple verbal ceremony in front of two witnesses is a requirement for a legal marriage. This includes stating, in the presence of a certified officiant, that you accept each other as legal spouses. Once the verbal ceremony concludes, we promptly sign the necessary legal documents.
Opting for Privacy:
Should you prefer an intimate setting with just the couple, I am more than happy to arrange witnesses for you at an additional fee of $50 per witness.
Getting married on your terms has never been simpler or more personalized!

Ceremony Rehearsal
One of the first questions that couples ask is whether they need to have a wedding rehearsal. The truth is, you really don't need to but you may feel more at ease practicing before the real thing.
In addition to being a fun and joyous occasion to get together, a rehearsal will help familiarize you and your wedding party of what to do, so that everyone will feel more comfortable about their roles on your actual wedding day. Your legal wedding officiant is the best person to guide you through your wedding rehearsal.
